How to subscribe to my blog
This is a post for friends and family who sometimes ask "How can I actually subscribe to your blog?". It's a fair question, as I do not cross post to Facebook or other similar platforms.
You can also always just ask me to send you the link to my latest posts on whichever messaging app we are connected on if you prefer!
Using a feed reader
You can subscribe to my RSS feed using apps like NetNewsWire on iOS, and Mac or Feeder on Android.
Using a feed reader means your chosen app will automatically receive my latest posts as soon as they are available. It also means you don't need to sign up for any additional services or provide any data to 3rd parties (unless you choose a hosted RSS service)
The feed you need to subscribe to is https://www.jamesleighton.com/feed/
There are also many RSS to Email services available. I'm not going to recommend any in particular because I've not used them, but take a look at some of these services that convert my feed into an email you can receive. Note that you need to provide your email address to their services so make sure to check out their privacy policies if you care about that kind of thing.
I don't run my own newsletter service because that gets quite complicated quite quickly.
