Week Notes - 2026-18
Last week was quite a good one: I was super productive at work, we visited a new National Trust property (and revisited an old favourite), and we've just generally been enjoying things!
I started and finished the first season of "Solo Leveling" because I trawled for a new show without too many episodes to commit to and I really enjoyed it! The 'game' aesthetic it has reminded me of Dungeon Crawler Carl. Looking forward to watching season two at some point soon.
Dragon Quest II got some play time too because I used early mornings before I started work. This was time I'd otherwise have spent doom scrolling so it was a great use of a few otherwise dead hours considering I am awake anyway! I didn't play anything else this weekl; perhaps I need to go back to having a short (or endless) and a long game in my rotation.
I still haven't gotten back into a consistent reading habit yet, but Monkey King has gotten me hooked. I'm hoping to finish it this week or next.
Over the weekend we visited National Trust Sunnycroft which is a relatively small house with an interesting story of the families who lived here. I highly recommend booking a guided tour to get the most out of it!
Afterwards we headed to Attingham Park as it was just 15 minutes down the road. At Attingham, we skipped the house and headed for the grounds to find somewhere to eat lunch and have another play around with our new camera. I learnt that I really must buy a tripod at some point because I am far too shaky for a high powered zoom lens.
