Week Notes - 2026-23

This week was a busy one! We headed to London for the weekend and managed to complete the following in just under 48 hours. A more detailed weekend blog post will be coming soon. Here is the 'too long; didn't read' version:

I did start a new massive JRPG (after saying just a few weeks ago that I wouldn't).. This time it's Digimon Cyber Sleuth but I did really enjoy the time I spent with it early last week.

It is evoking nostalgic memories of when I first played Pokémon nearly 30 years ago. I have absolutely no idea what any of the Digimon are or if they're any good. This is exactly how I remember feeling when I first ventured into Pokémon Red Version as a child, and it's such a delightful feeling. I'll get back to that soon this week.

On the reading front, I made solid progress with This Inevitable Ruin. I didn't back my e-reader for our trip though, so that fell off by the weekend. Looking back I probably made the right choice leaving it at home as we had barely any downtime at all.

Being out and about for two solid days really boosted our step counts for the week. I really need to keep that up this week. 🤷‍♂️
