Week Notes - 2026-16
We spent 7 nights in a caravan in West Wales last week! The weather was about as good as you'd expect but with the right mindset and clothing, it is absolutely fine! A longer blog post will be coming soon detailing everything we got up to but here's the short version:

We paid ยฃ10 to upgrade our caravan with a larger TV, which was totally worth it for a 7 night stay. It meant we could actually enjoy some movies and TV shows after spending all day out and about.
We finished the new season of Love on the Spectrum which was very good. Perhaps we see a little bit of ourselves in the people on the show? We also watched "The Map of Perfect Tiny Things" which I highly recommend. It made us realise we should slow down sometimes, and just enjoy the things happening around us. Weirdly the next day we spoke to someone about the fact that a Spitfire plane was flying down from North Wales later that day, and without any planning we actually managed to spot it!

We played Mists of Carcassonne for the first time, and I don't think we really understood the rules fully. We kept losing because we'd run out of ghosts which seems to be a common complaint when I had a search online. Perhaps we'll give it another go soon after watching some playthroughs on Youtube first.
Stardew Valley was our video game of choice this holiday. We started another new farm, and got to work. It's one of the few video games I play with my wife which makes it even more special. She loves it, I love playing it with her. What's not to like? We randomised the Community Centre bundles this time, and we still cannot convince ourselves to go the JoJo Mart route even after all these years!

I finished Baptism of Fire, and whilst I did enjoy it I thought the end was thoroughly rushed after quite a slow start to the story. Perhaps the action will pick up quickly in the next book? I think I'll read another Discworld book next.
